The Vampire Diaries' Originals Spoilers

Sigh. There go all our hopes and dreams. In a recent interview with Zap2It, Vampire Diaries executive producer and The Originals creator Julie Plec said Klaus (Joseph Morgan) won be changing his future baby diapers.

First, though, she addressed fans concerns that Klaus offspring has suddenly changed the way he feels about Caroline (Candice Accola). Klaus is going to go away and be a good dad and fall for the babymama and forget all about Caroline.' No. Hell no, promises Julie.

In fact in case his threats to let Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) die weren enough of a clue Klaus doesn particularly care for the werewolf carrying his child at all.

"The bottom line is that this baby, as we move forward in The Originals, is just a power pawn for him," says Julie. "This is absolutely not Papa Klaus nursing and changing diapers and suddenly being a good guy, nor will it ever be." We kind of wanted a montage of Klaus shopping at Babies Us, trying to put together a crib, and helping Hayley out in Lamaze class, though!

Julie already spilled that Caroline won find out about Klaus impending fatherhood in the Season 4 finale, so we won get to see her reaction to the big baby news. Maybe that only ups the possibility that a kiss between the two is coming..
